What do you learn in your first year?

 

The broad aim of the first year is to establish a platform for your professional development in the BACE programme. You get a broad introduction to theory and practice in community education. You will be introduced to key ideas and frameworks for thinking about community education, and the field of practice is set in its wider socio-economic, political and policy context.

There are four community education courses in first year:

There are also two 'outside' courses in first year - one in the first semester and the other in the second. You make a choice from a list. For example, the two could be:
